I grew up in Knoxville, TN and my mom worked at locally owned shop which has now closed. I remember going into the store seeing all the beautiful fine gift items, China, classy and elegant every day and dinnerware, collectible items like Dickens Village and so much more. I loved looking, admiring and dreaming! I remember watching my mom gift wrap items such as wedding gifts and other special occasions for customers making beautiful bows that looked no less than perfect. My memories from this store are precious. When I got married in 2005, I got Gien everyday plates that to this day I’m obsessed with, Dickens Village pieces that my oldest son has a special love for, serving pieces I had always adored, and my China. After getting married we immediately moved to Franklin for my husband’s job. It was then I discovered The Registry on Main Street.
I remember walking into The Registry and loving everything about it and it almost felt like home to me… the people, the items throughout the store, and the overall feel. This beautiful store opened its doors back in October 2003 by two women that were empty nesters. This store is so much more than just a store though it is a beautiful experience with distinct items and elegance. It is a heaven in my opinion for those that love to entertain and host. This amazing store carries brands such as Spode, Gien, Vietri, Juliska, and so many more to name.
While blogging and interviewing inspiring women in Nashville lately we have been asking “what do you love about the South” so many have a common denominator… the hospitality. The actual definition of hospitality means “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers”. This store provides it shoppers with confidence in entertaining with the best pieces that they love. Entertaining doesn’t mean you have to have expensive pieces spread out on your table with showcase centerpieces. You can entertain with the pieces you can afford, love and create lifelong memories. If you want a great place to start a collection, invest in one beautiful piece to host with, start a registry, take a happy stroll, find a gift then go stop in The Registry. It is a great place for any woman at any stage of life!
The Registry is located at 347 Main Street, Franklin, TN 37064
