Pecan Pie

Happy day after turkey day! Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday full of good food and special times with your loved ones. At our holiday celebrations, we are sure to have a pecan pie. It is a staple! If you are attending another Thanksgiving gathering, or getting an early start on planning for Christmas parties, I have the treat for you. A gooey, buttery pie from the kitchen of the fabulous Amy Abbott. Amy shares her grandmother’s pecan pie recipe that will be a hit at any party.


Pecan Pie

5 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups sugar

4 Tbs. flour

1 1/2 cups clear corn syrup

2 Tbs. melted butter

2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups pecans (chopped)

2 deep dish frozen pie shells

Preheat oven to 350. Combine sugar and flour together, add beaten eggs and mix well. Add corn syrup, vanilla and butter, mix together. Stir in pecan pieces. Pour into 2 uncooked pie shells. Bake for 1 hour.
